Insights from Historical Artwork

The 15th century Behourd melee tourney using "batons" or wooden club-like weapons.  Often viewed as a precedent for modern forms of "knightly tournament reenactment", even at the time these Grand Feats were a degeneration of earlier martial events and serious Feats of Arms using blunt weapons.
